At Orange Caterpillar we striving for excellence in every project, putting your interests first and gaining your confidence through a relationship built on trust and respect.
Hi I'm Alison, I started Orange Caterpillar in 2014 after a long career in Early Years culminating in a role as an Early Years Development Officer for Brighton and Hove City Council.
I've held roles as a private nanny, teaching assistant in a special school, childminder, nursery practitioner, crèche manager, EYT and Pre-School SEN Advisor.
Alongside these roles I have gained a BA in Professional Studies, Learning and Development and Early Years Professional Status (now Early Years Teacher/EYT), completed Ofsted inspector training and been awarded 'Gold Standard Reliability' in using the Sustained Shared Thinking and Emotional Wellbeing (SSTEW) scales.
Further to this experience I've been a Parent Governor, family advocate and PTA member, completed NSPCC training and I'm currently undertaking NSPCC accreditation. I mentor Early Years Initial Teacher Training students at the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex.
